2.4.0 Safe to install
AOSS allows you to effortlessly connect your Android device to your AirStation using a secure Wi-Fi connection.
This application provides a seamless and secure connection between your Android device and a Buffalo AirStation wireless router via Wi-Fi. Just follow the instructions and press the AOSS button on the AirStation. All security settings, including encryption, are automatically configured.
Please note:
- If your Android device supports Wi-Fi calling (e.g., T-Mobile, Orange UK, etc.), it is recommended to turn it off during the AOSS setup.
- For Android 6.0 or later versions, permission to access location services is required. Refer to the provided instructions for this setting change. Rest assured that this app does not collect any location data.
If a device running Android 6.0 or later encounters the NO_PACKET_SEQ error, try disabling the device's mobile data and attempt the setup process again. Once successfully connected to the AirStation, you can enable mobile data.
If you encounter any issues, consider trying the following troubleshooting actions:
- Restart your Android device.
- Restart the AirStation.
- Close all other running applications.
- Bring your device closer to the AirStation and retry the setup procedure.
- Change the wireless channel of the AirStation.
- If your AirStation is dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), switch to 2.4 GHz only.
- If there are other Wi-Fi connection manager apps installed (e.g., Wi-Fi Manager app, Wi-Fi Calling app), exit or uninstall them before proceeding.
- Delete any unnecessary Wi-Fi network settings if already stored on your device.
